5.0 out of 5 stars Bite-sized chapters chock full of great information, July 19, 2011
Any mom with the slightest bit of anxiety surrounding her child’s eating can find respite in Happy Mealtimes. My daughter (2.5) has been stuck in a cycle of a very few easy foods for quite some time and I’ve spent the better part of her life TRYING and TRYING to get her to eat more than a very few items. We’ve fought, we’ve cried, we’ve both thrown significant tantrums. Reading Melanie’s book has offered some perspective and tactics that have worked for the first time for us. Until now, I feel like I’ve tried everything I could think of or find research for online – coaxing, distractions, hiding foods, and even giving up entirely, hoping she’d break the cycle on her own. Nothing worked. Happy Mealtim
